Every write lands on more than one node before it is acknowledged. No single box holds the only copy, and there is no separate SAN to fail.
Lose a node and the VMs restart on the surviving nodes from copies that are already there. No restore from backup, no drive rebuilds, no ticket to open first.
Clusters check data integrity, rebuild lost copies, and move VMs automatically when a node fails or resources are unbalanced, and we watch cluster health on top of that

Managed means that Nexcess handles the day-to-day operations of your infrastructure. We architect the environment, monitor it and respond to problems, and support your security and compliance posture. Your team owns the business decisions and the data.
Neither change who is running the environment. Nexcess manages and supports both the same way.

Nutanix is the infrastructure layer underneath Nexcess managed solutions. Workloads run on Nutanix’s hyperconverged platform, with its built-in AHV hypervisor replacing the need for a separate, separately licensed virtualization layer. Nexcess owns the layer on top: designing the environment, running the migration, monitoring and patching it, and answering the phone when you need it most.
Hyperconverged infrastructure, or HCI, combines compute, storage, and virtualization into a single software-defined system instead of separate hardware layers that have to be bought, wired, and managed independently. It removes the need for separate storage area networks, resulting in fewer points of failure, and a platform that seamlessly scales by adding nodes, rather than a replatform.
